Origin[]

In the movie "Rocky Horror Picture Show", a young couple comes across a spooky house inhabited by a bunch of kooky creeps. They call themselves Transylvanians, but they are actually from the planet Transylvania, not the country. One of the most popular songs from the movie is called "Let's Do the Time Warp Again", wherein a group of glam rock back-up dancers perform a choreographed dance together. The dance is remarkably simple. It starts with a jump to the left, then a step to the right. With your hands on your hips, bend your knees in tight, followed by pelvic thrusts.

Usage[]

During the campy film, the outfits gained strange properties of their own. When all of the backup dancer outfits are worn and the wearers perform "The Time Warp" song and dance, they may travel back in time to any chosen point. However, if the dance is done incorrectly, or it is interrupted, all of the dancers will pass out accompanied by the sound of a deflating organ player. There is also a slight risk of a dancer going insane if they perform too many pelvic thrusts during the dance.

Collection[]

Artie and Claudia retrieved these outfits from a performing arts college where a theater production of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show" was being produced. When one of the dancers missed a step, everyone on stage passed out. The incident was blamed on exhaustion, and all of the costumes were replaced with regular ones.
