Origin[]

This chess set was originally owned by Alexander Alekhine and was used as a method of practice while at home or traveling to a chess competition.

This artifact was mentioned in the season 4 episode "Parks and Rehabilitation".

Effects[]

Winning a game of chess against an opposing player allows the winner to absorb the loser's intelligence, greatly improving their brainpower.

The pieces move on their own occasionally, so to keep it content the pieces are randomized at regular intervals so the artifact does not become restless. If left to its own devices, it may "win" a game against itself, unleashing an area effect and disrupting nearby artifacts.

Collection[]

Collected August 13th, 1937 by Agent Gerald Cooper Demall.
