Origin[]
This sterling silver pendant in the shape of a Greek owl was gifted to Alex by his fiance mere weeks before his untimely death at the hands of a drunk driver. Due to Alex's regret regarding the fight that caused his partner to be roaming the streets, this necklace charm became a powerful artifact rooted in misery.
Because of the effects of this artifact, Alex turned to substance abuse and thievery. This road would lead him to another artifact, one that would start his new life as a career thief and eventual Warehouse consultant. Despite its debilitating effects, Alec continues to wear it as a permanent reminder of his tasks ahead.
Effects[]
When worn, the necklace emanates strong feelings of depression and regret, causing the wearer to internalize all of their problems and turn them into self-loathing. The artifact is activated by a particularly traumatic or upsetting event. It then proceeds to amplify the pain and suffering of the wearer to almost unbearable levels.
The artifact will cling to its chosen victim, and cannot be removed without a bath of neutralizer. Significantly altering ones memory, personality or sense of self will also weaken the power of the artifact, as it cannot identify properly with the one who first put it on.
After Garrett Scott's death, his bracelet acts as a neutralizer to the pendant's effects. Felix wears it at all times.
