Origin[]

Worn by the Hunic ruler, Attila, who was leader of the Hunnic Empire, which stretched from the Ural River to the Rhine River and from the Danube River to the Baltic Sea. He ruled from 434 A.D. until his death in March 453 A.D. Feared for his battle strategy and battle prowess, Attila became the greatest enemy of the Eastern Roman Empire. Although there are competing accounts of his death, from poisoning to internal bleeding, the most likely scenario is that he choked to death on his own blood after suffering from a massive nosebleed at the engagement party of his latest marriage.

Usage[]

When touched, the user will feel compelled to put on the helmet and charge into battle. The helmet will imbue the wearer with superhuman strength, anger, and bloodlust to the point that he or she will not be able to think straight, attacking friend and foe. After an hour of use the wearer will begin to bleed profusely from the nose. If allowed to continue the bleeding will become so severe that the wearer will choke to death on his/her own blood.

The helmet has a kind of pull, tempting onlookers to touch it.

Collection[]

Believed to have been collected after Attila's death, near the fall of the Hun Empire, in the transition to Warehouse 5.

Storage and Handling[]

This artifact on a podium in the Dark Vault.

Neutralizer gloves are mandatory. Before handling or transferring the artifact, douse a fresh dose of neutralizer onto it and quickly store it in a container of neutralizer. The neutralizer will last approximately fifteen seconds before the artifact's nature fights against it, affecting whoever is holding it.
