OriginEdit

The Bat-Signal played an essential role in the Batman mythos. Planted on the roof of the Gotham City police station by the Commissioner, Jim Gordon, the signal would light up and summon the Batman to learn about whatever crime Commissioner Gordon required help solving. With almost every incarnation of Batman, the Bat-Signal has accompanied the title character.
