Origin[]
Demeter was the Greek goddess of the harvest, presiding over grains and the earth’s fertility. Her daughter Persephone was stolen away to Hades’ underworld and ate its pomegranate seeds. A pact was reached where she could return to the earth every spring to see Demeter, but Persephone had to return six months later, during the wintertime.
Effects[]
When exposed to vegetation, it increases their growth three times the normal rate. However, any plants affected wither away during the winter months.
