Origin[]
Doc Holliday was a sheriff, gunslinger, dentist and gambler of the American Old West. Originally from Georgia, he moved to the arid western territories of the southwest to reduce his tuberculosis. He switched to reputable gambling man and over the years entered friendships with similar figures like lawman Wyatt Earp. They traveled together to Tombstone and were deputized by Wyatt’s brother Virgil.
The trio, along with Morgan Earp, entered the O.K. Corral in an attempt to disperse some outlaws from the town. A shootout followed, resulting in Virgil’s maiming and Morgan’s death. As U.S. Marshal, Wyatt organized a posse with Holliday to hunt down the assailants, killing four before riding home. Holliday was placed on an extradition request, but Earp called in a favor with the Colorado Governor to give Holliday sanctuary.
Effects[]
Using one of the cards allows the user to identify another’s flaws and weaknesses. Sensitive subjects making the user’s mouth and tongue briefly glow, uncontrollable habits make the user see phantom injuries and secrets cause the user to see liars and swindlers speak out of sync with their lips. However, the user will have the uncontrollable compulsion to gamble, even if they have no possibility of winning.
