Origin[]

Grease is a 1978 musical romantic comedy film based on the 1971 musical of the same name, depicting the lives of greaser Danny Zuko and Australian transfer student Sandy Olsson who develop an attraction for each other.

Differing from the end of the musical, the film ends with the cast reconciling at a school carnival and Danny and Sandy reaffirming their commitment to each other, riding away in the "Greased Lightnin'" hotrod, which flies away into the sky before the credits roll.

Effects[]

Capable of driving on the ground like a normal car, "Greased Lightnin'" is capable of flight fueled by song (specifically the singing of it's passengers); it still requires normal gasoline fuel, however.

Music played on the radio alone is insufficient in getting the vehicle to take off (at most, a few inches to a few feet may be attained in some circumstances). The more genuine, heartfelt, and emotional the singing is, the higher the car will fly (simply having fun with singing is moderately sufficient, though the more the performer truly feels or identifies with their song, the more successful).

Use[]

Garrett Scott and Felix Draco flew out of the Warehouse in this car after affecting a few Warehouse personnel with the West Side Story Debut Playbill , singing "You're the One That I Want " from Grease to fuel it. The car began to lose its musical power after the song had concluded, but the pair eventually managed to land it without any damage.
