Origin[]

Hannibal was a Carthagian military commander and one of the greatest in recorded history. He lived in the Mediterranean during the constant growth of the Roman and Hellenistic empires, which many times tried to encroach on Punic territory. One of his most famous achievements was at the outbreak of the Second Punic War, when he marched an army that included elephants from Iberia over the Pyrenees and the Alps into Italy. In his first few years in Italy, he won three dramatic victories—Trebia, Trasimene, and Cannae, in which he distinguished himself for his ability to determine his and his opponent's strengths and weaknesses, and to play the battle to his strengths and the enemy's weaknesses—and won over many allies of Rome.

Effects[]

A tusk that causes opposing forces to turn and retreat. When used, elephant trumpets can be heard emanating loudly from the tusk, and it is believed that these noises are what makes enemies retreat, as these noises instill paranoia and fear onto one's enemies. Those affected experience hostile hallucinations, the most common being rampaging elephants. The downside is that elephants will be angry with the user for a couple of days.
