OriginsEdit

Hernando de Soto was known for being the first european to have crossed the Mississippi River on May 8, 1541. De Soto died from a semitropical disease about a year later, either being buried in the Mississippi River or Lake Chicot. The dry compass was kept as a keepsake by Luis de Moscoso Alvarado, the maestro de campo of de Soto's expedition, who was told to command the rest of the men before de Soto passed.

EffectsEdit

The compass can find 'amazing things', but increases the likeness of dying after you've found it.
