Origin[]

Although elected as bishop to the bishop of Amiens, Honoratus believed himself unworthy for such an important tole. Almost as if in response, a beacon of light purportedly fell upon him while his head dripped with an unknown oil, signs of his righteousness.

One housekeeper doubted Honoratus’ new position – only her baking peel sprouting leaves would convince her otherwise. Legends state the wooden paddle grew into an adult mulberry tree, fully sprouted and fruit bearing. Honoratus has since become then become the patron saint of bakers and confectioners.

During his tenure, Honoratus rediscovered the relics of local martyrs Victoricus, Fuscian and Gentian, which had been lost for three centuries prior.

Effects[]

The peel will transform into an object that will benefit the user most in the current moment. Anything from a crown and supply of military rations to a bonfire and encyclopedia will be conjured, even if the wielder didn’t realize what they required. After one usage, the artifact reverts back to its original form and can never become that type of object again.

Collection[]

The peel was located on the western outskirts of the Byzantine Empire by Warehouse 9 agents alongside several other artifacts. During their retrieval, the peel was damaged and became sporadically inert, not activating even when it had the proper conditions.

During the original run of The Twilight Zone, the effects were utilized for the episode "What You Need".
