Origin[]
Reel to reel recordings were the precursor to vhs tapes and cds. They have been used since the 1930s, but have widely fallen out of use due to the hassle of developing and storing the film.
Usage[]
When placed on a reel-to-reel player the user will hear every sound he/she has ever heard. There is no order to the playback, so users may hear the sound of their mothers singing to them as an infant, a phone message from five minutes ago, or the sound of a car alarm that woke them up a year ago within the span of a minute.
Collection[]
It requires a focusing artifact to unlock its potential. Harvey Fletcher's Hearing Aid can be used to focus in on a specific time. Using both artifacts allows the user to remember the sounds from a specific moment.
