Origins[]
Jefferson Davis was the President of the Confederate States of America during the Civil War. He was raised on cotton farms, graduated from West Point and fought in the Mexican-American War. He served as Secretary of War under Franklin Pierce and owned a plantation with over 100 slaves in Mississippi. He did not want secession, but argued that states had the right.
Davis personally headed the operations of the Confederate Army, but was unable to defeat the larger and better-armed Union. He could not get any foreign nation to recognize the Confederacy’s independence while the South printed too much money, causing inflation on the home front. Many historians agree that Davis’ weak leadership during the war helped the Confederacy lose the war, unlike the Union’s leader Abraham Lincoln.
Today[]
Collected by Artie and Nick from a so called televangelist in Louisville, Kentucky who had the power to heal people. But in reality, he was just separating the peoples emotions to help troubled marriages, broken hearts, depression, etc.
