Origin[]

Justus von Liebig, born in 19th century Germany, was a celebrated chemist and is hailed as the "Father of the Fertiliser Industry" for his work in biological chemistry. Despite his discovery of nitrogen being a component in plant growth and founding a company to process beef extract, he was also the inventor of the sliver-backed mirror that is commonplace today. It is believed that the artifact came about as a result of the silvering process.

Effects[]

This small sqare of glass reflects light so perfectly, it can trancend space and display the reflections of other surfaces. When it is held and a particular place is focused on, the mirror will display an image of the area as if one was looking through a window. Any distortions and marks on the surface being veiwed from will still be present, and anyone looking on will be able to see back through the other side, though sound does not travel between the two making it an ineffective scrying glass.

Felix's Notes[]

"It seems that using particular artifacts such as Hassan-i Sabbah's turban have an unusal effect in conjunction with Justus von Liebig's creation. Where the turban would initially allow for travel through walls, when used while veiwing a scene in the mirror it allowed me to enter into the reflection, essentially giving up a physical form in order to freely travel through various reflective mediums. This is an unusal effect and deserves more study. I'll bring it up with Mrs. Frederic when she decides to pop up."
