Origin[]

This ring was struck by a bullet in a bank robbery gone wrong. Luckily, the wearer survived and only received minor injuries from the bullet breaking apart upon impact.

Today[]

Mr. Kipling and Artie went to Vancouver when they were given a case where a man went to rob a bank, and he managed to repel any bullets fired at him by police. They had a hard time finding the man, but they caught a break when a they were told of an accident involving a car having its front end flattened, but the driver only saw a person cutting across the street in front of him before the accident. Luckily the driver saw the person's face and Artie managed to pull a file on the robber. They managed to track the person down who, after explaining that they took the ring from the original owner in a simple case of pickpocketing, started to use it to commit small crimes that they could get away with by using the ring to repel any one who tried to hurt them with something metallic. Mr. Kipling and Artie took the ring and turned the thief in. Artie keeps it in his bag, just in-case.

Effects[]

When worn, it causes all metallic objects that approach the wearer within five feet to either stop moving or move away. It will not bother anything already in the field when the ring is activated unless the object is moved and then brought toward the wearer. The ring repels any metallic object that approaches the user, even if it's benign in nature.
