Origin[]
Mercy Brown was accused of vampirism and it was said that she killed her parents and caused her brother Edwin's poor health. Some time after her death, her body was exhumed and it was relatively unchanged. Her heart was removed and fed to her brother in the hope it would cure him, but it didn’t and he died two months later.
Effects[]
A townswoman took her shawl during the disinterment and causes a rapid spread of tuberculosis, with the exception of the user. For each person nearby who isn’t infected, they instead contract a form of hysteria that can cause them to do insane, deranged or hateful acts. This madness is as easily transmittable as the disease itself.
