Origin[]

Asclepius was the son of Apollo and a mortal woman. After being kind to a snake in childhood, the snake, a symbol of wisdom and renewal among the Ancient Greeks, told Asclepius the secrets of medicine. Soon Asclepius became the greatest healer of all time, surpassing his own father. The snake and staff became his symbol, and is still used today in the medical field. He was so skilled that he could bring the dead back to life. This caused problems for the balance of life and death, so Zeus killed his mortal side and made him a god.

Effects[]

When the user attempts to touch the staff the snake will come alive and attempt to bite. In order to properly use the staff the user must tame the snake by gently stroking its head. If the user fails to do this, the snake will bite and infect the user with a terrible disease. Properly used the rod can cure illnesses by injecting the target with healing venom from the snake. The healing bite is supposedly painless.

Collection[]
