Origin[]
The Winter of Terror occurred in the winter of 1950-1951, where a record setting amount of 649 avalanches occurred over three months after an average of 4 meters of snow fell on the Alps within a two to three day period. Over 600 buildings were destroyed and 40,000 people were buried in the ensuing collapses, and over 265 people were killed. Andermatt, a small town in the Northwestern Alps, is notable for having been hit with six avalanches in one hour.
Effects[]
Summon large amounts of snow when worn, eventually causing massive avalanches.
