Origin[]

Stanislaw Ulam was a mathematician who immigrated to America and participated in the Manhattan Project’s atomic bomb design. Alongside scientist Edward Teller, he calculated the behavior of the implosion-type weapon they were building. After the war, Ulam helped create a new fusion bomb to counter the Soviet Union’s first atomic test. He found that Teller’s calculations were unfeasible, so he reworked them with the help of several female calculators, including his wife. His last work in the field was the study of nuclear rocket propulsion and Ulam then moved back to mathematical work, contributing to the study of statistics and similar fields.

Effects[]

Grants greater mathematical skills to those that are working in groups. The user will periodically see the screen flash bright orange and rapidly heat up before returning to normal.
