Plot[]
James Joyce's Ulysses is a novel revolving around a single day on Dublin, Ireland 1904. Surrounding five young people and the characters they meet throughout the day both real and fictional. The main characters, Stephen Dedalus, Buck Mulligan, Haines and Leopold and Molly Bloom meet people that change their views on life itself. For the most part the fictional characters they meet are either straight from Homer's poem The Odyssey or are representatives of them. The novel gains complexity, irony and dramatic intensity as a companion to the original poem.
