OriginEdit

Walter Tyler (??? - 1381) was a leader of the 1381 Peasants' Revolt in England. He marched a group of rebels from Canterbury to the capital opposing the institution of a poll tax. They also demanded economic and social reforms. While the rebellion enjoyed early success, Tyler was killed by officers loyal to King Richard II during negotiations. The entire rebellion took place in the last year of his life, triggered by an imposed poll tax of twelve percent from every adult regardless of social status. They demanded that each laborer be allowed to work for the employer of their choice and to end serfdom and other rigid social demarcation. Tyler took the role of leader after his niece was assaulted by a poll-tax collector. In revenge he killed the miscreant and triggered the insurgency.

Due to Tyler's smugness when he met with King Richard, who was fourteen at the time, he mocked and insulted the king. This enraged those loyal to King Richard and they killed him and his men hunting down and executing other rebels and thus ending the rebellion.

EffectsEdit

Rallies support to user's cause, can be intensified if lance is used like a Flag Pole (I.E. Using the Lance to fly the Gadsden flag the influence radius is extended by three times). If used for military flags will entice violence at user. (GunjiBunny)
